U4GM What to Run on Barb for Tormented Andariel S12
#1
I went into the Wounded Court thinking I was ready, because my Barb was already chewing through endgame content and my stash was full of "good enough" gear. Then Tormented Echo of Andariel reminded me what "tormented" actually means. The room's tiny, her poison never lets up, and those rotating elemental beams punish even a lazy sidestep. Before you even talk damage, you're checking basics: poison resistance capped, healing plan sorted, and the right Diablo 4 Items on hand so you're not trying to brute-force the fight with half-finished defences.

What the arena does to you
The Court isn't just a backdrop, it's the whole problem. There's no long runway to reset, no safe corner to breathe in. Andariel's patterns overlap, so you'll be dodging a beam while the floor's ticking poison and she's blinking on top of you. If your poison res is short, you feel it straight away, like your health bar is on a timer. I've seen people bring huge damage and still fold because they can't hold their ground for more than a few seconds. In this fight, survival is DPS, because uptime is everything.

Keeping Whirlwind honest
Whirlwind Dust Devil still feels like the cleanest way to keep pressure on her, but it only works if you treat your shouts like a rhythm, not a panic button. Rallying Cry and War Cry need to be rolling so Berserking doesn't drop at the worst moment, and so Fury isn't constantly scraping empty. The other piece is not getting cute with Unstoppable. If you wait too long, a stun or bad hit confirms your death, especially when the beams are mid-rotate. Iron Skin helps, and so does staying Fortified, but you've got to hit those buttons early, not when you're already in trouble.

Stagger windows and unwanted guests
Nightmare Dungeon nonsense makes it messier. One run in Hanged Man's Hall, a portal popped and, yep, "Fresh Meat!" right as Andariel teleported across the room. That's when you stop thinking about perfect rotations and start thinking about space. You want consistent hits to build stagger fast, because a staggered Andariel is the closest thing you get to calm. Save your big damage dump for that window, push crits, and don't drift into a beam just because you're tunnel-visioning the health bar.

Why we keep coming back
The grind's brutal, but the loot chase keeps you queuing up again. You're there for Uber Uniques, especially Ring of Starless Skies, because cost reduction changes the whole feel of Barb loops and makes sustained pressure way easier. Then it's back to farming for materials and better Greater Affix Ancestrals to tighten the build. If you're trying to speed that up, some players use services like U4GM to pick up currency or items and smooth out the gearing gaps, so the time you spend in the Court is about execution, not hoping your resist rolls finally cooperate.
