DB9 sitting in my garage for months now because I'm scared to take it to the wrong shop in Abu Dhabi
Inherited my late uncle's 2008 DB9 a while back and it's been parked under a cover in my villa in Khalifa City ever since because honestly the thought of taking this thing to just any garage gives me serious anxiety and the official dealer quote for even basic stuff makes my eyes water just thinking about it. The car starts up fine and that V12 sounds glorious but the brake pedal feels a bit long and there's a slight clunk from the front suspension over speed bumps that I'm pretty sure is just a tired bushing but I've heard too many horror stories about shops that have no clue how to properly lift these bonded aluminum chassis cars without damaging something underneath. I've been trying to find a place in Abu Dhabi that actually knows Astons inside and out not just the usual supercar generalists who mostly see Lambos and Ferraris and I stumbled onto https://exoticautoservices.ae/aston-mart...abu-dhabi/ the other night while doom scrolling at 2am and it actually looked like they specifically understand the quirks of these older Gaydon era cars which is refreshing because most places just give you a blank stare when you mention a DB9. Anyone else here keeping an older Aston on the road in the UAE and found a trustworthy spot that won't treat every visit like an excuse to finance their next vacation?
